PROJECT ACTIVITIES

NETWORK CONSOLIDATION

Exchange of good practices and inclusive approach by judicial, social, and educational services responsible for the protection of and support to LGBTQI+ people who are potential or actual victims of gender-based violence (GBV).

RESEARCH: NETWORKING FOR THE CREATION OF INCLUSIVE SERVICES

Thematic focus groups will be organized to collect data about the needs and possible answers to the system’s gaps in policies and practices. This will lead to a joint manifesto of intentions in order to implement inclusive services for GBV survivors among LGBTQI+ people.

Training on gender-sensitive protection response

Training courses will be organized to challenge gender stereotypes and unconscious prejudice among social, legal, judicial and health operators to promote a more inclusive and gender-sensitive approach to LGBTQI+ people who are potential or actual victims of violence.

Pilot implementation of support actions

The strengthened services and trained staff will provide direct support to LGBTQI+ violence survivors. Awareness-raising activities will be addressed to the LGBTQI+ communities to increase their knowledge of protection services.

DISSEMINATION OF THE MODEL

The project outcomes will be developed and disseminated in each partner country and the project tools and methodologies will be adapted to the specific contexts in order to share an intervention model of inclusive protection services addressed to LGBTQI+ people.
